Polka dots surprise soap and TANGER swirl

I've unconventionally used two techniques for the swirl in the inside of the bar: tilted tiger stripe swirl and +  hanger swirl or, as I call it, TANGER SWIRL !  To create the colorful swirl I tilted the mould of about 35-40°C (see this post for details on the technique). Then, I moved it back in a flat position, and used bass strings to do the hanger swirl ;-) Recipe (slow moving trace): Olive oil (extra virgin)  56.25% Unrefined virgin Coconut oil  20.38% * Palm oil (organic)  17.13% Canola oil  6.25% * Palm oil I use comes from a sustainable source. When I made my last soap ( HERE ) I've used all my stocks of pomace olive oil and coconut oil. Honestly I didn't want to place an order for two items only and I decided to take a look at the supermarket's shelves... I bought extra virgin olive oil from Puget , which gave a nice yellow color to the soap bar and unrefined virgin coconut oil from La Tourangel (very ...

Fire vibe soap: recipe, tricks and links to technical videos

I have mixed two techniques in order to obtain different patterns , one on the inside of the soap bar and one on the top. Here you have the links to the original videos showing the techniques: 1)  Tilted tiger stripe swirl 2) Multi-mica Taiwan swirl Since  I run out of castor oil,  I had to modify the recipe shown in video 1) as follows  😅 Recipe (slow moving trace): Olive oil (pomace)  70% Coconut oil  22.25% Palm oil (organic)  7.75% Note that the palm oil I buy from  The Soap Kitchen   'carries Organic Certification and comes from Columbia. It is not produced on land that has been taken from the Rain Forests, nor are there any Orangutangs made homeless. Our suppliers do use 'ethical' methods in their production (we have actually visited the site). Our Columbian suppliers are members of the RSPO (Round Table for Sustainable Production of   PalmOil).' Housewarming card

A housewarming card for a friend! Most of the materials used for this card come from the last order I've placed at Crafts-inspain : Sizzix butterfly embossing folder Dovecraft 6 x 6 Scrapbook paper  Garden Party  10mm Polka dot orange organza ribbon  Wooden purple & white polka dot flower embellishments  I've used the garden party s crapbook paper for the base of this  card. I've cut out a white-ish cardstock of the same width as the scrapbook paper but only 3/4 as high, embossed it and glued it on the front of the card. I've used the polka dot organza ribbon to 'mask' the junction between the two papers I've looked for house templates on the internet, found this cute one and printed it on white- ish cardstock. I've trimmed the borders of the house and ink-stamped some bushes with a mini rubber stamp + VersaColor mint green (#40) and tropical green (#105) inks.  I've cut out the card in the middle o...
